Strategic MoU For Kashmiri & Banjara Artisans-An Excellent Step
To foster market linkage and the development of entrepreneurship among the embroidery artisans from Kashmir and the Banjara community from Maharashtra, Genius Foundation, the corporate social responsibility initiative of Genius Consultants Limited, one of the biggest workforce solutions, staffing solutions, and HR services providers in India, signed a memorandum of understanding with Ascensive Edu Skill Foundation, the social arm of Ascensive Educare Limited. To foster entrepreneurs at the grassroots level and instill the notion of operating as a collective enterprise, the project will concentrate on developing national and international market links. There will be a particular focus on teaching the artisans about contemporary packaging methods.
According to the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding, Genius Foundation will give Ascensive Edu Skill Foundation funding, and Ascensive Edu Skill Foundation will carry out the program.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Mr. R P Yadav, Chairman & Managing Director, of Genius Consultants Limited, and Mr. Abhijit Chatterjee, Chairman of Ascensive Group of Companies. It was graced by Shri. Bikram Das, SEO, NSDC, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India, Shri. Sudharshan Das, Asst. Director (H), Office of DC Handicraft, Ministry of Textile, Govt. of India, and other eminent personalities.
Several Kashmiri embroidery artisans participated virtually in the ceremony and expressed their support for the initiative. They were ecstatic to learn that the Genius Foundation and the Ascensive Edu Skill Foundation had taken such a commendable step.
All of the delegates and special guests emphasize the importance of such creative programs for the advancement of artisans and the global promotion of local heritage.
