The Shubh Muhurat of the upcoming Bengali film Shlilatahanir Pore took place in the presence of director Reshmi Mitra, Sreela Majumder, Ishaan Mazumder, Devlina Kumar and others.

The film is based on a novel by Mallika Sengupta.

Rape has become rampant in today’s times. Not only adult women but also small girls are also being raped. So the development of the film is extremely topical in today’s times. The trauma and the pain that the woman has to undergo due to becoming a rape victim are immense. The woman’s fight against the trauma and pain and her journey of turning a new leaf is what the film’s story all about.

Devlina Kumar who plays a pivotal role in the film said “The approach of the girl is different. Her approach is practical and at par with the reactions of modern girls. I liked the script when I heard it. I was slated to work with Reshmi di beforehand but that did not happen. I am grateful that she remembered it and gave me a chance in this film”.

Ishaan plays the role of a lawyer in the film and he also plays music in a band.

Despite having a stringent budget, the director mentioned that no compromises are being made in the shooting and the other technicalities of the film. Much care has been taken so that the audience can see a cinema at par with the current times.

The cast of the film consists of Soumitra Chatterjee, Sreela Majumder, Rahul Banerjee, Mouboni Sarkar, Ishan Mazumder, Shubham, Devlina Kumar and others.

The music of the film is by Raja Narayan Dev and the lyrics are by Gautam Susmit and Chandan Mukherjee.
