Prosenjit Chatterjee’s film Amar Sangi was popular when it was released in 1987 and it continues to be popular even after so many years. The superstar graced the trailer launch of the upcoming Bengali film Amar Sangi starring Vikram Chatterjee and Sohini Sarkar.

Prosenjit Chatterjee said “This is not only nostalgia, But it has become more of a signature for me. Wherever I go, I have to sing a few lines of Chirodini tumi je amar from Amar Sangi. I have given many more hit films and they have amazing songs as well. However, Amar Sangi’s songs have a great fan following even after so many years”.

Amar Sangi is a horror comedy film. The film is directed by Dibya Chatterjee.

The director said that people love horror comedy films and the recent success of films like Stree are examples of the audience’s love for this genre. Hence he hoped that this film would also receive the same level of love and adulation.

Vikram Chatterjee and Sohini Sarkar were ecstatic by the presence of Prosenjit Chatterjee at the event. The presence of the original Amar Sangi star added another level of glam to the event.

The film is slated for release on 31^st January.
