The event, held to commemorate Rangakarmee’s 50-year artistic journey, featured a captivating lineup of performances, including dance, music, theatre, monologues, and poetry, reflecting the legacy of this pioneering theater group.

Ranjini Ghosh and Madhumita Chakraborty delivered an enchanting Kathak Fusion performance that set the tone for the evening’s festivities. This was followed by a series of captivating acts, including heartfelt monologues, soulful songs, and a moving poetry recital by Subhash Biswas, who performed Sannata, written by the renowned poet Bhavani Prasad Mishra.

Anindita Pati added a classical touch to the evening by performing a classical dance, enthralling the audience with her grace and artistry. The program ended on a high note with an electrifying Musical Mashup titled “Karmees in Denim” performed by Shubham, Om Tiwari, Manoseej Biswas, Shubhojit Guha, and Gaurav Sinha. This dynamic performance expertly combined traditional melodies with contemporary beats, enthralling the audience.

The evening’s highlight was the grand finale, in which all of the artists performed an emotional rendition of “Moko Kahan Dhunde Re Bande, Main To Tere Paas Mein”—a beloved song from Rangakarmee’s acclaimed production Maiyyat, directed by Usha Ganguli. This heartfelt performance paid tribute to Rangakarmee’s illustrious founder and her lasting contribution to Indian theatre.
