Disha Eye Hospitals, the biggest eye care chain in Eastern India, has opened its 19th location on Chittaranjan Avenue in Girish Park. Dr. Debasish Bhattacharya, Chairman & Managing Director, Disha Eye Hospitals; Dr. Aditya Pradhan, Consultant, Disha Eye Hospitals; and Swami Shantipradananda Maharaj, Manager, Ramakrishna Math, graced the hospital’s inauguration ceremony.

Disha Eye Hospitals has been committed to the well-being of patients with eye-related conditions since its founding in 1997. Over the course of our 28-year journey, they have operated on nearly 12 lakh patients across all branches, employing over 1000 staff members and 96 full-time consultants, and they have been able to reach about 300 crore families in Bengal.

With an investment of almost Rs 100 crore, they plan to open additional eye care hospitals in the districts of Nadia, Purulia, Haldia, and Bakura in the upcoming years. To provide services related to eyes, they will also be establishing 100 Vision Centers and Teleconsultation Hubs in the future. They also intend to establish themselves in the national cities.

The recently opened Disha Eye Hospitals location is spread across four floors and approximately 10,000 square feet. It is a 30-bed facility that is fully furnished with the newest and most advanced eye care technology. For now, the hospital will house five consultation rooms and two outpatient departments to handle any medical emergencies about the eyes.

Patients at this new branch in North Calcutta will be treated by renowned eye surgeons and trained ophthalmologists from all over Bengal. Since cataract problems and retinal dysfunction are among the most common vision problems that people encounter, the Girish Park Branch will first offer cataract and retinal surgery to patients from all walks of life.

Disha Eye Hospitals at Girish Park will remain open every Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
