A press meet was organized to meet the cast of the upcoming paranormal Bengali thriller Bhoot Chaturdashi. The cast of the film consisting of Aryann Bhowmick, Ena Saha, Deepsheta Mitra, Soumendra Bhattacharya, director Shabbir Mallick and creative director Mainak Bhaumik.

The story of the film revolves around four individuals in their 20s- Rono (Aryann), Shreya (Ena Saha), Pritha (Deepsheta) and Debu (Soumendra). The four head out to an abandoned house near Bolpur to shoot a documentary. What starts as a fun trip becomes a haunting experience as a series of strange events start happening to them. What happens next?

“I wanted to write a horror film which will genuinely scare the audience. Thankfully with Bhoot Chaturdashi, my purpose is served and I hope that the audience will love the suspense and the horror that the film promises” said Mainak Bhaumik.

Ena Saha who believes in ghosts mentioned an incident where during the shoot of the film, she felt that someone was breathing down her neck. The experience was nerve racking for her and scared her very much.

Deepsheta Mitra who is not a believer in paranormal beings said that an incident made her believe that there was some paranormal being during the shoot of the film. She was standing some distance away from the crew when she felt a pull on her hand. She narrated the story to her mother who felt that the long shooting hours made her visualize the incident.

The music director of the film is Indraadip Dasgupta.

The film is eyeing for release on 17th May, 2019.
