An Informative Cyber Awareness Workshop At TIGPS, Ariadaha

Under the direction of the Barrackpore Police Commissionerate, Belghoria Police Station led a very educational and enlightening Cyber Awareness Workshop for the Grades X through XII students at Techno India Group Public School (TIGPS), Ariadaha.
The session was led by a distinguished panel from the police force, including Inspector, Mr Subhrajit Majumder (IC Belghoria), Sub Inspector, Mr Sukanta Das, Sub Inspector, Mr Prokash Dhara, Sub Inspector, Mr Arnab Mistry, and Sub Inspector, Ms Monisha Biswas.
The workshop’s Chief Guest, Inspector Subhrajit Majumder, enthralled the audience with his observations based on his more than 26 years of law enforcement experience. His captivating story and real-world examples made it easier for students to comprehend how crucial cyber vigilance is in the current digital environment.

The workshop addressed a wide range of important subjects, such as Cyberbullying and the risks of sharing inappropriate content; Online safety and responsible internet usage; Various types of cybercrime, including phishing, identity theft, sextortion, and impersonation; Fraud related to gaming and recognizing warning signs.
The available preventive measures and official helpline resources, facts versus myths, dos and don’ts, and practical safety advice were also addressed.
It is everyone’s responsibility to stay safe online. Teens live in two different worlds: the real world and the virtual one. The physical world will automatically be secure if the digital world’s systems are secure.
The session emphasised the value of protecting one’s digital footprint and inspired students to actively participate. It acted as a pertinent reminder of the obligations placed on young people to use the internet responsibly and safely.
