3rd Print Biennale India 2026 To Be Organized After 2 Successful Editions

At a press conference in Kolkata, Lalit Kala Akademi, the National Academy of Art, New Delhi, announced the 3rd Print Biennale India 2026.
The event was addressed by the 3rd Print Biennale Commissioner C. S. Krishna Setty along with the members of the Steering Committee consisting of Hanuman Kambli, Vijay Bagodi, R. M. Palaniappan, Dattatreya Apte, Ananda Moy Banerji, in the presence of Dr Nand Lal Thakur, Vice Chairman of Lalit Kala Akademi.
Professional artists from India and overseas are invited to participate in the Biennale, which aims to provide a global platform for contemporary printmaking after the successful editions in New Delhi (2018) and Mumbai (2021).
Up to three original prints made after 2022 may be submitted by artists. Works for exhibition and awards will be chosen by a two-tiered international jury. There will be five grand prizes of Rs 2,00,000 each, in addition to honourable mentions.

All traditional and modern print techniques are welcome to enter the Biennale as long as they meet the size requirements. The cost of admission is Rs 1000 for Indian artists, Rs 1500 for SAARC/ASEAN nations, and $50 for artists from other countries. The deadline for submitting artwork to LKA New Delhi is October 31, 2025.
In January 2026, a few pieces of art will be on display in their new building in Kolkata, with plans to travel to other Indian cities.
