Jeet To Act In Ananta Singh’s Compelling Biopic

For the first time, megastar Jeet collaborates with director Pathikrrit Basu and Nandy Films on a compelling biopic about Ananta Singh.
The film is titled Keu Bole Biplobi, Keu Bole Dakat, and the presenter of the film is Pradip Kumar Nandy.
Nandy Movies is the production house behind the film.
A string of well-planned robberies against the wealthy in Kolkata in the 1960s aroused curiosity and terror. Behind them stands Ananta, a mysterious, elderly person who is viewed as a saviour by some and a criminal by others. The public is split on whether Inspector Devi Rai is a thief or a revolutionary reborn as he leads an unrelenting manhunt. As a dedicated freedom fighter under Masterda Surya Sen during the independence movement and as a disillusioned man witnessing the nation’s ideals crumble in the face of corruption and greed, Ananta’s past is revealed through a series of timeline shifts.
Ananta fights a new war—this time for the poor—using his combat skills and strategic thinking because he cannot accept the betrayal of those ideals, and turns to radical justice. Ananta turns into a story about rebellion, redemption, and the ethical price of justice as his past and present collide.
“I am excited as I have never done a biopic before”, said Jeet.
The director said, “I felt driven to create Keu Bole Biplobi, Keu Bole Dakat for two very personal reasons. This movie is primarily an effort to revive the legacy of Ananta Singh, a forgotten hero. The names of numerous renowned leaders serve as a reminder of India’s freedom struggle, but innumerable brave people have vanished into obscurity. Among them is Ananta Singha. History has forgotten his bravery, beliefs, and selfless sacrifices. I want to honour his memory and tell his story to a new generation through this film, one that questions how we categorise revolutionaries, frequently confusing their fight for criminality and their fire for rebellion. But the past isn’t the only aspect of Ananta’s journey. His tale has resonance in the modern world. The gap between the rich and the poor is still widening daily in our society. Revolutionaries today are still motivated by the same rage, frustration, and yearning for change that drove them in the past. I want to raise awareness of the continuous fight against inequality and the hazy boundaries between justice and dissent by sharing his story”.
“The second is an emotional one. I started in film as an assistant director on a Jeet da project. It feels like a dream come true to be directing him in this movie. Ananta Singh is a complex, strong character, and in my opinion, only Jeet da could give him such depth and passion. His presence makes the movie more than just a history lesson; it becomes intimate, poignant, and memorable.
Together with my hard-working writers Aritra and Arpan, we are working to make a movie that honours an unsung hero and gives Jeet da one of the most significant parts of his career,” added the director.
A great film to look forward to!!
