To celebrate the launch of its latest hair colour collection, The Surreal Collection, and the introduction of Strait Smooth, a cutting-edge straightening technique that is now available in top salons in Kolkata and other parts of West Bengal, Godrej Professional, a professional hair brand that sells products for hair care, colour, styling, and treatments from Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL), organised a daylong event that drew together more than 200 salonists and stylists from both Kolkata and West Bengal.

The event included immersive training sessions aimed at upskilling salon professionals in advanced colouring techniques, and culminated in a spectacular hair show that displayed the Surreal Collection in all its splendour.

To add a glamorous touch to the evening, actress Rukmini Maitra walked the runway sporting one of the collection.

India’s first hair colour line, Surreal Collection, was inspired by the most breathtaking natural wonders in the world. Co-curated by Shailesh Moolya, National Technical Head at Godrej Professional; Yianni Tsapatori, Creative Director of Godrej Professional, and Najeeb-Ur-Rehman, Technical Ambassador of Godrej Professional, this innovative range offers four distinct looks: Moffee Marvel (mocha and coffee tones of the Pyramid of Giza), Tangerine Dream (copper-gold hues of Antelope Canyon), Roselet Bliss (rose and violet from Serranía de Hornocal), and Moonlit Mist (silver-ash tones of moonlit nights).

Dimension and Colour Play technologies power each look. While the Colour Play range offers vibrant shades enhanced with hydrolysed keratin and hyaluronic acid, which are well-known for their hair repair, strengthening, and moisturising properties, Dimension ammonia-free hair colours use peptides and nourishing oils to ensure healthy-looking, long-lasting colour.

During interactive training sessions, the stylists were shown the Surreal Collection by the brand’s technical and educational ambassadors.

Yianni Tsapatori led the session and gave them advice on how to use the Dimension and Colour Play range to learn the newest hairstyling trends. Shailesh Moolya and Najeeb Ur Rehman discussed the new Strait Smooth line.
