In honour of Bohag Bihu, Assam‘s most beloved festival, YAYAvar at Hyatt Centric Ballygunge Kolkata extends an invitation to visitors for a three-day cultural event from May 23 to May 25. The festival offers an immersive experience through genuine flavours, sincere rituals, and a lively sense of community. It has been carefully planned to highlight the rich traditions of Assam.
A carefully crafted menu featuring traditional Assamese cuisine, emphasising in-season ingredients and time-tested recipes that capture the essence of the area’s culinary legacy, will be served at YAYAvar to commemorate the occasion. A sit-down menu featuring both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options will be served to guests, celebrating Assamese flavours.
The Vegetarian Menu features Stir-Fried Greens, Kolmi Saag, Kachu Thori, Mati Mahar Dali, Bengena Pura, Til Bota, and Bilahi Pura (Tomato Chutney).
The Non-Vegetarian Menu consists of Bamboo Chicken, Assamese-style Mutton Curry, Pork with Bamboo Shoots, Aloo Pitika, Dal Bota, and Dry Fish Chutney.
One can begin the meal with cherished Assamese bites like Hurum and Komal Saul, Xandoh, Laru Pitha, Joha Rice, Khar, Posola (Banana Stem), Lau Palla, and Payox.
