Dear Ma’s Poster Out Now; A Story That Shows Love Is Thicker Than Blood

The grand poster launch of the upcoming film Dear Ma was graced by director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, actors Jaya Ahsan, Saswata Chatterjee, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Shayan Munshi, music composer Bickram Ghosh, editor Arghyakamal Mitra, and others.
The story of Dear Ma shows that love is thicker than blood.

Karabi Dey and Sanchayita Yadav, two women who have overcome hurdles in their personal lives, released the poster of the film along with the cast.

Jaya Ahsan said, “I have never received such a great and valuable birthday gift. I got the script of Dear Ma on my birthday. I wanted to work with Tony da on a good script, and when I got the script as a gift, I was amazed. I read the script instantly. This is such an excellent character to portray”.

The director said that he had wanted to work with Saswata Chatterjee for many years now. “I am divulging the reason as to why we didn’t do a film together. Thankfully, this film could be made. There is another script that I have listened to for quite some time now. I go to his house and we have a chat about the film. Then the director feels bored, and we head to a club, and the thoughts about the film vanish. And as a result, there is a delay in our working together,” said the actor.

Chandan Roy Sanyal said, “I met him in 2011 and he offered me a role in his film Aparajita Tumi. It was a wonderful film, and I was glad to be a part of it. So when he offered me a role in Dear Ma, I was happy and immediately agreed to do it”.

Shayan Munshi said that when the director called, he had to answer. “When he offered me the role, I thought I would get the chance to go back to the world where I came from and have fun. I could share creative space with such great people and do a film in Kolkata after many years”.

Bickram Ghosh said, “The director was a good sarod player. I knew him from the time when he was a student of Pandit Buddhadeb Dasgupta. He was a friend of Tanmoy, and I then knew him through him. It was later that I became friends with him in our fifties. We first became friends and then became co-workers. That helped in working with ease on the music of this film”.

The other cast members of the film consist of Dhritiman Chatterji, Anubha Fatehpriya, Padmapriya, Ahana, and Nandika Das.

The cinematography is by Abhik Mukhopadhyay.

The film is produced by Flying Colours Pictures, ABP Creations, Ace of Spades Entertainment, and Opus Communications.
