With the opening of its first greenfield data center in Kolkata, CtrlSDatacenters Ltd., the biggest Rated-4 data center operator in Asia, has raised the bar for digital infrastructure in eastern India. The first Rated-4 data center in the region, the state-of-the-art facility is situated in Bengal Silicon Valley, New Town, and marks the beginning of CtrlS‘ Rs 2,200 crore promise to construct the most sophisticated data center ecosystem in eastern India.

The first phase of the facility’s four-phase plan, which will scale to over 60 MW to accommodate the growing demand from businesses, government organizations, and hyperscalers, delivers 16 MW of IT load capacity. The complex, which was designed with hyperscale efficiency, AI workloads, and seamless scalability in mind, will serve as the cornerstone of Kolkata’s ascent to prominence as the region’s leading data center hub.
