The renowned Eden Gardens in Kolkata will host a major felicitation celebration for Indian women’s cricket star Richa Ghosh on Saturday, November 8, 2025. This was announced by the Cricket Association of Bengal (C.A.B).

Sourav Ganguly and Indian former cricketer Jhulan Goswami will sign a specially made gold-plated bat and ball for Richa Ghosh, a standout player in India’s Women’s Cricket World Cup campaign, in appreciation of her remarkable accomplishments and priceless contribution to Indian cricket.

Former Indian cricket player, former BCCI president, and current CAB president, Mr. Sourav Ganguly, said, “Richa Ghosh has shown remarkable talent, composure, and fighting spirit on the global stage. As a little mark of our appreciation for her outstanding contribution to Indian cricket, we are honoring her with this gold bat and ball. Every young cricket player in Bengal and throughout the nation finds inspiration in her”.

The Cricket Association of Bengal took great pride in Richa’s journey from Siliguri to the international arena on this particular occasion, calling her commitment, self-control, and courageous attitude truly inspiring. The association hopes that many more young girls will be inspired to take up the sport and follow their aspirations with the same tenacity as a result of this award.
