The teaser for Lawho Gouranger Naam Rey, which will be released this Christmas on December 25, 2025, takes viewers on a visually stunning and emotionally complex journey through three different eras: the divine life of Shree Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in the fifteenth century, the Bengali proscenium of Girish Ghosh and Binodini Dasi in the nineteenth century, and a modern film set directed by Rai and starring Parthasarathi.

The teaser, which was released on Raas Purnima, the day of divine love and devotion, resonated with the core of the movie and the riddle it aims to solve.

At its core is one of Bengal’s most persistent mysteries: the enigmatic disappearance of Chaitanyadeb, a spiritual conundrum that still inspires awe, devotion, and faith. The film examines how love, faith, and artistic passion transcend generations and blur the barriers between the divine and the human by navigating these entwined timelines.

One of master storyteller Srijit Mukherji’s most ambitious film projects, Lawho Gouranger Naam Rey is produced by SVF Entertainment and Dag Creative Media and skillfully combines spirituality with storytelling, devotion with drama, and myth with contemporary.

The cast consists of Bratya Basu, Jisshu U Sengupta, Subhashree Ganguly, Dibyojyoti Dutta, Ishaa Saha, Indraneil Sengupta, Susmita Chatterjee, Ananya Banerjee, Partha Bhowmick, Aratrika Maity, and others.

The music of the film has been composed by Indraadip Dasgupta.
