White Snow- A Special Tale Of Mother-Son Relationship

Director Praveen Morchhale was present at the 31st Kolkata International Film Festival with his film White Snow.
The film is about a mother who embarks on a journey through the Kashmiri-Himalayan mountains with a yak and an old television to honour her late son’s artistic dream. She goes from one village to the other and shows her son’s unseen film to remote communities. Her effort is a shining example of maternal love, resilience, and the great power of films in connecting lives.
The director’s earlier films were Widow of Silence (2018) and Behind Veils (2023).
Speaking at the event, the director said, “Urdu is a sweet language like Bengali. And hence I thought of making this film in Urdu as the film had Kashmir as the backdrop”.
The film has been produced by Praveen Morchhale.

The music of the film has been composed by Nalin Vinayak.
The cast of the film consists of Madhu Kandhar (Fatima), Bhavya Khurana (Ameer), and Kaneez Fatima (Noor).
