The 54th Senior Men’s National Handball Championship 2025 commenced at the Netaji Subhas Sports Arena, Priyonagar, Chinsura, Hooghly. The six-day championship will run from December 15 to December 20, 2025, bringing together the best handball players in the country to celebrate national pride, competitive spirit, and sporting brilliance.

The championship is being organised by the West Bengal State Handball Association (WBSHA) in collaboration with Techno India Group, under the aegis of the Handball Association India (HAI). Chinsurah is poised to host a memorable national tournament thanks to its top-notch facilities and passionate sports culture.

The cutting-edge Netaji Subhas Sports Arena has four championship courts ready. Eight pools of teams from States, Union Territories, Services, and Boards are competing; the top two teams from each pool move on to the pre-quarter finals and then the knockout stages.

The championship’s top eight teams will advance to the next National Games in Meghalaya, and their results will also be taken into account for choosing the Asian Games squad, so the stakes are high.
