The founder of 7th Heaven Kolkata, Reshov Sadhukhan, gave a peek into one of the most touching and unforgettable moments in the bakery’s history—the second annual cake mixing ceremony. This year, it was held in December, just as winter arrived with excitement and fun. Some of Kolkata’s most talented young food bloggers and digital creators were present, and their new collection of Christmas desserts was unveiled.

The smell of oranges, nutmeg, and cinnamon pervaded the whole bakery. Everyone in the bakery could see the joy, enthusiasm, excitement, and joyful anticipation in the eyes of the people. There was a long queue of people waiting; this is not only a commercial success but also a celebration of consumer love.

Reshov said, “Today, I am speaking not only as a bakery owner but also as an entrepreneur. Although the cake-mixing ceremony is typically memorable, this year was especially noteworthy. I found this event to be captivating after seven lovely years of delivering delicious baked goods in this joyful city. It was a mixture of pride, nostalgia, and the thrill of starting a new holiday season. The entire crew adorned the bakery with deep red, forest green, fairy lights, and handcrafted ornaments because we wanted it to feel cozy”.

Since 7th Heaven Kolkata doesn’t use alcohol in its cake mixing process, a sizable central table is filled with bowls of cherries, cranberries, currants, blueberries, raisins, nuts, and non-alcoholic juices for soaking. Everyone in the room was ecstatic as they saw everyone put on their red Santa hats and gloves and dive into the mixing with curiosity, enthusiasm, and laughter. Many of them were mixing cakes for the first time, and their enthusiasm made the whole process seem unique and magical.

The festive line-up includes bento cakes, tea cakes in exotic flavours like KitKat, Lemon Butter, Orange-Cranberry, Coffee-Walnut, and Chocolate-Orange, and others.

The highlight of the event was traditional plum cakes, which are created with rich, dried fruits. Desserts with a Christmas theme were also created and offered for tasting, including Yule log cake, Christmas cupcakes, and delicious cookies. It was great to hear everyone’s instant reactions throughout the tasting session. Everyone provided input, highlighting their favorite parts and offering suggestions for additional features to enhance the experience. These desserts were introduced at the 7th Heaven Kolkata locations in Salt Lake and South City.

Everyone who attended the event responded positively, giving 7th Heaven Kolkata even more enthusiasm and self-assurance going into the holiday season.
