The book launch of A Memoir: Autobiography of Sridev Mookerjea took place in the presence of eminent guests like renowned Bengali essayist and poet Sayed Hasmat Jalal, Editor of The Daily Statesman, Mr. Sabyasachi Hazara, shipping legend, Varuna Award recipient, and former Chairman & Managing Director of major maritime organisations, Arnab Bhattacharya, noted sarod player and music producer at AB Music Records.

The book detailed Dr. Sridev Mookerjea’s remarkable life story, showcasing how he rose from modest beginnings to play a prominent role in the international shipping sector, particularly in Singapore.

Sridev Mookerjea is a Chartered Marine & Mechanical Engineer (UK), Fellow of The Royal Institution of Naval Architects (UK), Member of Singapore Nautical Institute, Quality Management System (QMS 2008) Lead Auditor of the International Register of Certified Auditors (UK) and Master of Business Administration (UK), Former “Board of Directors’ & Chairman of CSR of Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry’(2018-2020) Former (2000/2001) Chairman of Singapore Branch of and the Institute of Marine Engineers (London). He has been running his own business in Singapore (Chairman &Group Managing Director –Blossom Group) of Shipping, Offshore, and Maritime Industry since 2003. Blossom Group (of 6 Companies) has been involved in Ship Owning, Ship Management (both Commercial & Technical), Ship and Trade Financing, Ship Chartering, Ship Sale and Purchase, and High Value Project Management.

The autobiography provided a personal narrative of tenacity, initiative, and moral dedication. Dr. Mookerjea described how perseverance and vision influenced his career and contributions to the global shipping community via introspection and career achievements.

An enthusiastic audience attended the event, which recognized the memoir as a motivational example of perseverance and success.
