Announcement Of The 55th Statesman Vintage & Classic Car Rally

Suman Bhattacharya, Senior Vice-President, Sayed Hasmat Jalal, Consulting Editor, Dainik Statesman, Nitish Kapoor, Head-Event and Activation, The Statesman, Delhi, and others graced the press conference to announce the 55th edition of the Statesman Vintage and Classic Car Rally.
The organizers mentioned that 160 vintage and classic cars and 50 two-wheelers are expected to take part in the rally.
The Statesman Vintage and Classic Car Rally was first organised in Delhi in 1964, and the Kolkata edition started in 1968.

The rally will take place on 11th January, 2026, at the Royal Calcutta Turf Club (RCTC) Ground. The rally will be flagged off at 9.10 am from the RCTC Polo Ground.
The event will showcase a line-up of marques like Triumph, Chevrolet, Dodge, DeSoto, Austin, Morris, and MG.
There is no participation fee for the entrants.
The main aim of this rally is to give a platform to the car owners to show their prized possessions and keep the automotive heritage alive.

A vintage car was also showcased at the event to offer the media a peek into the heritage and glamour associated with this rally.
Free passes will be available from The Statesman Kolkata office this week from 11 am to 6 pm till the 9th of January 2026.
