Press Conference Of 77th Annual Conference Of The AOI

A press conference was organized to announce the 77th Annual Conference of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India (AOI).
Gracing the event were Dr. Dwaipayan Mukherjee, National President of All India ENT Association (AOI), Dr. Utpal Jana, President of WB AOI and Organizing Chairman, Dr. Ajoy Khawas, and others.
The national conference of ENT doctors will take place again in Kolkata from January 8th to 11th of January at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Kolkata.
The inauguration will take place on 9th January at 5 pm onwards in the presence of Sushmita Sen, ex-Miss Universe and Bollywood actress, and Mr. Arup Raha, ex-air Chief Marshal, and others.
Besides focusing on pollution-based allergic rhinitis, the other vital events of this conference are the release of the Indian guidelines of Allergic Rhinitis Management for protocol-based treatment of Indian patients, medico-legal guidelines of ENT practice, along with the advancement in the treatment and surgery of ear, nose, and throat ailments.
Earlier, doctors used to treat patients using the Western guidelines. The environment, genetics of patients, and the features of the allergens are completely different abroad. The publication of this Indian guideline for the treatment of Indian patients will lead to a greater success rate.
Several workshops will be arranged on the first day of AOICON on 8th January 2026. Various modern treatments of allergy will be discussed, and junior ENT doctors of India will be trained in skin prick tests or allergy tests in the presence of world-famous allergy specialists and ENT doctors.
The facial plastic workshop is the other highlight of the conference. Discussions and training by global and national experts in different areas of cosmetic facial surgery, like rhinoplasty, earlobe surgery, nasal surgery, and others, will also be organized.
Dr. Ullash Raghavan, the pioneer of these surgeries from the UK, will also grace the workshop.
CMEs on the different ENT diseases will be organized during this four-day conference.
It is expected that 3000 to 3500 doctors from different Indian states and abroad are expected to participate in this conference.
