One of the biggest fast-service restaurant brands in the world for freshly created, customizable sandwiches, Subway, announced the inauguration of its 1,000th location in India at Paras Florett in Gurugram. This momentous occasion is indicative of the brand’s robust national expansion. It is one of the fastest-growing premium quick service restaurant brands in India, with an average of two new locations opening each week over the past three years.

Over the past three years, Subway India, which is run by EverBrands (a division of Everstone Group), has expanded into over 165 cities with over 3,500 employees and launched over 350 new stores in its network. Due to the growing need for fresh, customizable, and value-driven food options, Subway India has remained one of its top worldwide growth areas since entering the Indian market in 2001.

The value-oriented Sub Cravers range, which starts at INR 79, the decadent Hot & Cheesy Signature Subs, Fresh Salads with 1.5x protein, and an inventive all-day Breakfast range that caters to the fast-paced Indian lifestyle are just a few of the menu items that have consistently evolved to support Subway’s rapid expansion. The most recent addition to the already lively Indian menu is the Signature Rice Bowls, which provide a fresh variety of flavors and customizable options made with the Indian palate in mind. These products exemplify Subway’s philosophy of adapting to changing customer demands.

Tarun Bhasin, CEO, Culinary Brands (Subway India), said, “This is a pivotal point in Subway India’s development trajectory and illustrates the growing scope of the company’s Better for You menu positioning throughout India. We sincerely appreciate our clients’ trust and confidence. I also want to express my gratitude to the amazing team and hundreds of Sandwich Artists who work tirelessly throughout our stores, delighting consumers every day. We eagerly anticipate the next 1,000”.
