St+art Kolkata Festival- A Special Celebration Of Kolkata’s Culture

Colour Corridor is an amazing initiative in Ballygunge that draws inspiration from the daily life and cultural spirit of Kolkata. Presented by Asian Paints and St+art India, this is part of the St+art Kolkata Festival 2025-26.
The Colour Corridor is a walk-through art tunnel with a colourful mural that is spread across 8200 square feet of the lane.

This has been created by Sayan Mukherjee. Featured on the corridor is a Bengali poem, grills, arched windows, table fans, post boxes, pressure cookers, switches, bulbs, and so on. These objects are daily used ones that make one feel familiar rather than monumental.
The Colour Corridor is inspired by Chromacosm, a repository of over 5300 shades by Asian Paints.

Apart from this, there is an indoor exhibition at the TRI Art & Culture Centre that has been developed in association with TRI Art & Culture and supported by KCT Group CSR. There are amazing works by ten artists that help in exploring how the lines between home and street are often entwined in Kolkata. With the help of this exhibition, daily space is reimagined.

The initiative helped the citizens of Kolkata to look at their beloved city through the lens of art.
