ZORR, a technically ambitious horror-comedy zombie survival film that combines genre-driven tension with controlled visual storytelling, marks Bengali filmmaker Gourab Dutta’s directorial debut. On February 6, the movie will be released in theaters throughout India, which is a big milestone for a production that was formed by teamwork and accuracy.

Gourab Dutta, Shekhar Kanjilal, and Chayan Karmakar worked together to establish the central idea of ZORR. Through collaborative ideation, the narrative and cinematic universe were developed, and Shekhar Kanjilal wrote the final screenplay. The film was able to strike a delicate balance between action, horror, and dark humor while being grounded in narrative clarity because of this methodical creative process.

ZORR, which was mostly set in a Delhi corporate office building, needed a targeted technical technique to maintain tension in cramped areas. The story creates impact through pacing, sound transitions, and visual rhythm rather than relying primarily on spectacle, allowing humorous moments to naturally emerge in high-stress scenarios.

ZORR has a grounded visual style that maintains realism while in a highly stylized genre context. The zombie elements are kept credible and tightly connected to the real world by combining practical effects with certain digital upgrades. This strategy keeps the tone consistent throughout the movie while enhancing the survival-driven mood.

Prantika Das returns to Hindi cinema with ZORR, her second Bollywood feature film, following her role in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. She portrays Saraswati, a vibrant, perceptive, and nimble character who uses humor, flexibility, and emotional intelligence to negotiate the mayhem of an unexpected zombie outbreak. The character contributes to the film’s harmony between tension and lightheartedness by fusing humor with dread and urgency.

The cast includes Joy Sengupta, Akash Makhija, Rishabh Chadha, Shekhar Kanjilal, Ricky Tiwari, and many more.

From a production perspective, ZORR shows a well-coordinated departmental effort. Gourab Dutta, the film’s director, has stressed that each and every person involved contributed vitally to its completion.
