The largest EV charging network in India, ChargeZone®, and the Swedish luxury automaker Volvo Car India opened an ultra-fast charging station on the Mumbai-Nashik Highway. The station has two dynamic load balancing dispensers and a 360kW star charge power unit. This station is close to Igatpuri at Food Hills on the Mumbai-Nashik Highway. This represents a major turning point in their partnership to create a high-end national supercharging network.

For Volvo customers and other EV users, this clever setup allows for better power distribution, shorter wait times, and quicker real-world charging. The charging station, which is ideally situated on one of Maharashtra’s busiest intercity roads, provides Volvo EV-specific bays, easy app-based access for payments and navigation, and an improved customer experience that is built for dependability and convenience.

This installation comes after ChargeZone® and Volvo Car India signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2025 to provide access to high-speed EV charging along important national highways. A few additional charging stations are scheduled to be added in 2026. In addition to promoting the adoption of luxury and performance EVs throughout the nation, the cooperation shows a shared commitment to enhancing long-distance EV travel, bolstering charging availability, and driving India’s transition to sustainable mobility.
