Reciter and actor Shouvik Bhattacharya organized the delightful cultural program “Barsha Shesher Gaan O Kobita” at Mahajati Sadan.

Bengal Web Solution and the Krishnanagar Lions Club collaborated to organize the event.

There were two sections to the program. Anindya Chatterjee of Chandrabindur, Upal Sengupta, Sidhu of Cactus, and vocalist Shouvik Bhattacharya took part in the poetry-song-discussion in the first section. The theme of spring appeared in discussions about love as well as in songs and poems.

Popular songs by Chandrabindu and Cactus were performed in the second section along with poetry.

Songs sung by Anindya, Upal, and Sidhu, such as Bhense jay adorer nouko, Mone hoayay peyechi tor mone, Amake roga bolo na, and Sei tumi, evoked nostalgia. Poems by contemporary poets such as Rabindranath Tagore, Sunil Gangopadhyay, and Mallika Sengupta were included in Shouvik’s collection.
