The trailer for Phool Pishi O Edward draws viewers into a world full of dark humor, secret agendas, Bengali aristocratic grandeur, and unrelenting suspense.

The film, which was directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, takes place in the setting of a tragic zamindar wedding, where every guest seems suspicious, every conversation feels loaded, and every glance seems to conceal a dangerous secret. Viewers are continuously forced to wonder, “Who is the murderer?” as the trailer unfolds like a perverse game of deceit.

Phool Pishi O Edward creates an atmosphere that is simultaneously eerie, quirky, and wildly entertaining by fusing mystery with a distinctly Bengali flavor. Strange family dynamics, emotionally charged altercations, dysfunctional relationships, and growing paranoia gradually develop into a murder mystery that cautiously withholds its most significant revelation.

The trailer’s tonal unpredictability is what makes it particularly compelling. Audiences are kept on edge by Zinia Sen’s story, screenplay, and dialogue, which alternates between feeling quirky and darkly humorous at one point and psychological tension and total murder mystery chaos at another. Samragnee Bandyopadhyay is responsible for the additional screenplay, dialogue, and script correction.

“What I loved most about Phool Pishi O Edward is that every character carries a secret, and the audience keeps changing their suspicions every few minutes. Without giving away what’s really underneath, the trailer gives you just enough to draw you into this bizarre, chaotic world. What makes the movie so thrilling is its unpredictable nature,” said Raima Sen.

“With Phool Pishi O Edward, we wanted to create a murder mystery that feels deeply rooted in Bengali culture while still being universally engaging. We were able to blend grandeur, dysfunction, humor, suspense, and emotional chaos in the ideal setting of the Zamindar wedding. The trailer is just the start of the mystery; each character has depth, and every interaction is suspicious,” said the director duo.

The cast of the film consists of Raima Sen, Sohini Sengupta, Arjun Chakraborty, Ananya Chatterjee, Shyamoupti Mudly, Koneenica Bandyopadhyay, Anamika Saha, Shahebb Chattopadhyay, Rajatava Datta, Soumya Mukherjee, and Rishav Basu.

The film will release on 29th May.
