The 38^th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Calcutta Electric Dealers Association was organized at The Astor Hotel.

The Chief Guest of the event was Shri Dilip Ghosh, Cabinet Minister, Government of West Bengal.

The event was also graced by Shri Sunil Singhi, Chairman of the National Traders Welfare Board; Shri Santosh Pathak, Ward No. 45 Councilor and popular BJP leader; Shri Subhas Agarwala, Chief Managing Director of Maithan Alloys Limited; and Shri Babiranjan Tripathi, Senior General Manager of KEI Industries Limited and Patron (2025-2026), Shri Om Prakash Jhajharia.

President Abhishek Verma gave a welcome speech to kick off the program. There were also a number of former Association secretaries and presidents in attendance. Joint Secretary Ashok Banka, Treasurer Taraknath Jaiswal, and Secretary Gagandeep Mundhra all actively contributed to the event’s success. Shawls, souvenirs, and a replica of the Ram Mandir were given to each guest.

The Calcutta Electric Dealers Association is constantly working to establish a friendly and solid rapport with the state government that is currently led by the BJP. To attract industrial investment to West Bengal and establish the state as the Electrical Capital of India, the Association seeks to serve as a liaison between the state government and significant corporations in the electrical sector.

The following awards were presented during the event: Ceda Ratan: Dr. B. N. Sinha (Founding Member); Ceda Samman: Shri Rajesh Goel; Soni Devi Award: Shri Dharmendra Daga; Kamla Devi Bardia Man of the Year Award: Shri Anil Kumar Singh; Best Convenor: Shri Bipin Goel and Shri Ashish Agrawal (Jointly); Ceda Young Achiever Award (Business): Shri Vidarbha Jalan; Ceda Young Achiever Award (Social Activities): Shri Vikas Rathi and Best Chairman Award: Shri Satya Prakash Shaw.

Prominent industrialists who graced the event were Shri Madan Mohan Fomra, Managing Director of Cabcon India Limited; Shri Vinay Rathi, Whole-Time Director of Gloster Cables Limited; and Shri Siddhartha Malu, Founder of Ra Procure.

Dignitaries from various organizations who attended were Siddhi Jain, National Secretary of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT); Shri Kamal Surana, Vice-President; Shri Avinash Verma, Joint Secretary of The Calcutta Electric Traders Association; and Shri Amitabh Dassani, President, and Shri Surendra Dugar, Secretary of the Calcutta Machinery Dealers Association.

Election Chairman Shri H. K. Mishra announced the election results. The new team for the year 2026-2027 includes the following office-bearers: President: Abhishek Verma; Vice-President: Anil Kumar Singh; General Secretary: Aditya Vikram Mohanka, and Treasurer: Arun Kothari.
