One of the most well-known love stories from the Mahabharata serves as the inspiration for Aakash Aath’s upcoming mythological mega serial, Nal-Damayanti. The timeless journey of King Nal and Queen Damayanti, whose unwavering love, faith, and righteousness enable them to triumph over the forces of evil and fate, is brought to life in the serial.

The mega serial stars Rishabh Bhowmik as Nal and Rupsa Choudhury as Damayanti in the lead roles. The ensemble cast consists of Gargi Debnath as the Elder Queen (Shridatri), Piyali Das as the Younger Queen (Maitreyee), Souptik Chakraborty as King Veersen, Debadrita Bhattacharya as Dakshina, Sharanya Dey as Pushkar, Mayukh Chatterjee as Panchajanya, Aritram Mukherjee as King Bhimsen, Sayantani Mukherjee as Queen Mahadevi, Dalia Debnath as Madanika, Akash Mallick as Sudeb, and Kayas Kalim as Kali.

“Nal-Damayanti is not just a romantic tale. It is a timeless story about faith, bravery, selflessness, and the triumph of good over evil. We have tried to convey an epic from Indian mythology in a way that is both aesthetically pleasing and faithful to its original meaning through this serial. We hope audiences of all generations will connect with the emotions and values portrayed in this journey,” said director Mr. Milan Mondal.

Nal-Damayanti, set in the final years of the Dwapara Yuga, chronicles the remarkable journey of Prince Nal of Nishadha and Princess Damayanti of Vidarbha, whose fated union is thwarted by the evil schemes of Kali and Pushkar. Nal loses his kingdom and is banished after being betrayed in a game of dice. Still, Damayanti’s unwavering devotion proves to be the decisive factor in restoring her husband, regaining their kingdom, and overcoming Kali’s evil influence. The serial tells a heartwarming tale of bravery, love, selflessness, and the enduring strength of morality.

The research for Nal-Damayanti has been done by Geeta Biswas. The screenplay is written by Moumita Kar Gupta, while the dialogues are penned by Rakesh Ghosh and Mon.

Aakash Aath will telecast Nal-Damayanti from 17^th August 2026, every Monday to Saturday at 7:30 pm.
