Each milestone signifies the start of something new. As the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata enters a new decade, it honors a history of uniting communities, champions, and innumerable inspirational journeys—Aamar Kolkata. Shonar Kolkata. The World’s First World Athletics Gold Label 25K, sponsored by Procam International, will take place on Sunday, December 20, 2026, with the famous Red Road serving as the starting point.

Registration for the 11th edition of Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata will commence on Thursday, 13th August 2026, at 7:00 a.m. IST, for both the physical and virtual races, at tatasteelworld25k.procam.in.

The race has evolved over the last ten years from a sport to a movement that has improved communities and influenced lives. It has encouraged healthier lifestyles and more women to start running while fostering a thriving running ecosystem. Additionally, it has improved the culture of giving, produced long-lasting social and economic effects, and raised Kolkata’s profile as a major international sports destination.

Each participant will receive a specially designed Medal of Steel, a unique tribute from Tata Steel, in recognition of the extraordinary perseverance and resolve of each 25K finisher. This medal, which is made of metal from Tata Steel, represents the runners’ tenacity, fortitude, and resolve.

Each new registrant will receive a specially made Race Bib to make the debut even more unforgettable. They can pick up their bib at the Expo and get a preview of what to expect on race day, which is when their running journey officially begins.

A cohesive family becomes stronger as a whole. In order to celebrate the joy of running together, the race introduces the Home Run Squad. A personalized digital photo frame featuring their race-day moment, taken by the official race-day photographer, will be given to families with at least four confirmed participants from any race category. It is more than just a memento; it honors the accomplishment of finishing together as well as the shared experience and memories made.

For the 25K and 10K, special registration windows have been added for Good for Youth (18–21 years old) and Good for Silver (65 years and older), encouraging more young and elderly people to enjoy running. These categories’ registration period will begin at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026, and end at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2026, or earlier if all available spots are taken.

On-site registration for the 25K, Open 10K, Ananda Run, Senior Citizen Run, and Champions with Disability Run categories will begin at 7:00 a.m. on August 13, 2026, and end on November 27, 2026, or as soon as all running spots are taken, whichever comes first. Every participant registering for the 25K category will need to provide a current timing certificate, just like in prior years. A restricted number of entries have been set aside in the 25K and Open 10K categories to promote increased participation by women.

The 25K, Open 10K, and 5K virtual run registration period will begin on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. and end on Friday, December 11, 2026, or as soon as running spots are filled, whichever comes first.
