Renowned Bengali singer Lopamudra Mitra’s exclusive apparel boutique, Protha, is currently celebrating its 12th anniversary with a grand special exhibition. The milestone event commenced on August 14 and will run through August 24, 2026.

Marking the beginning of the celebrations, Lopamudra Mitra herself graced the store with her presence to light the ceremonial lamp. Known not just for her melodious voice but also for her distinct aesthetic sense, the artist shared her deep-rooted passion for traditional Indian textiles during the inauguration.

Reflecting on the journey of Protha and her enduring love for indigenous weaves, Mitra said, “Sarees are our true heritage and wealth. Across the length and breadth of India, you find countless varieties of sarees, each boasting unique names, intricate patterns, and rich histories. Indian handlooms are simply unmatched.
