Through fractured scenarios, symbolic characters, and multi-layered performances, the classic political satire Taramoyee Anger Management School examines the emotional instability of contemporary society. The production depicts how anger, confusion, frustration, and emotional exhaustion have become commonplace in daily life by creating a theatrical world where humor and discomfort coexist.

Inspired by global politics, historical ideologies, cultural identities, and social conditioning, the play explores how people respond to stress and uncertainty through a series of intense yet darkly humorous scenarios.

Written and directed by Anindya Banerjee, the play is produced by T. K. Singh.

The narrative takes place in an unusual anger management facility where three people come for emotional support counseling. Their hidden realities, repressed emotions, and personal frustrations gradually come to light as they engage with the counselor and receptionist. The play examines the social and psychological causes of contemporary anger through satire, dark humor, and heated dialog. A seemingly routine counseling session eventually becomes a deeper analysis of society, identity, pressure, and emotional survival.

The tone of the play gradually shifts from being lighthearted and exaggerated to being extremely serious and realistic. The frustration of regular people caught up in social disruption, economic pressure, and political unrest is reflected in the final atmosphere. The drama conveys the silent rage of a generation attempting to survive in systems dominated by chaos, noise, and conflict without overtly preaching.

The cast of the play consists of Sagnik, Sourav Chakraborty, Barnali Sinha, Anuradha Basu, Sudeshna Pal, Gaurav Guha Majumder, and Anindya Banerjee.

The script, music design, and direction are by Anindya Banerjee.

The first show will be staged on Sunday, 30th August at Tapan Theatre, at 2:30 PM.
