An Excellent CPD Program On Comprehensive Benign Gynecology

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City, successfully held a two-day Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program titled “Comprehensive Benign Gynecology: From Basics to Advanced.” The program brought together surgeons and gynecologists for case-based learning, expert discussions, evidence-based updates, and live surgical demonstrations centered around developments in benign gynecology.

This was conducted under the patronage of Dr. G. Surender Rao, Managing Director, Yashoda Hospitals, and Dr. Pavan Gorukanti, MD, Pulmonary & Critical Care (ABIM), Director– Yashoda Hospitals.

The programme was supported by scientific advisors, namely Dr. Venkat Raman Kola, Clinical Director; Dr. Shantha Kumari, Consultant Obstetrician, Gynaecologist & Laparoscopic Surgeon; and Dr. Jamuna Devi Gudidevuni, Honorary/Part-Time Consultant Gynaecologist, Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City.

The organising committee included Dr. Radhika Reddy Y., Dr. Krishnaveni Nayini, Dr. Damalapati Sonia Rani, and Dr. Anitha Kunnaiah, all from Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City.

Important aspects of contemporary gynecological practice, such as minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopic hysterectomy, hysteroscopy, V-NOTES, myomectomy, microwave ablation, urogynecology, and management of surgical complications, were covered in the scientific program. A masterclass with live hysteroscopy surgeries, expert sessions, and panel discussions on fibroid and adenomyosis management, minimally invasive hysterectomy, frozen pelvis, pelvic organ prolapse, and the developing role of artificial intelligence in healthcare and endoscopy were among the highlights, as was the Yashoda Oration by Dr. Shailesh Puntambekar, Laparoscopic and Robotic Cancer Surgeon and Medical Director, Galaxy Care Multispecialty Hospital.

Through ongoing professional development and knowledge sharing, the CPD program reaffirmed Yashoda Hospitals’ dedication to promoting medical education, clinical excellence, and specialized patient care.
