Darshanarthi Live, a startup incubated by AIC Techno, launched the Darshanarthi Live Viewers’ Choice Awards 2026 at AIC Techno in Topsia, Kolkata, adding a new dimension of audience engagement to the Durga Puja experience.

The initiative sought to empower the millions who celebrate Durga Puja annually by letting them take a more active part, enabling visitors to explore participating Pujas, experience them firsthand, offer ratings and reviews, and join as members of a Viewers’ Choice jury.

The platform unites four key stakeholders in the Puja ecosystem Darshanarthis (visitors), Utsabarthis (Puja organizers), Prochararthis (brands and sponsors), and Media around a single core idea: হোক সবারই জয়-Hok Sobarey Joy-Everyone Wins.”

The inauguration was attended by Hon’ble Minister Mrs. Agnimitra Paul; Mr. Debashis Sen, IAS; Mr. Sajal Ghosh; Mr. Sankhu Deb Panda; and Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury.

The event also brought together Presidents and Secretaries of some of Kolkata’s largest Durga Puja committees, along with other key players from the city’s cultural and community sectors.

Darshanarthi Live is a “phigital” platform blending physical and digital elements that enables hyperlocal Puja participation, inviting visitors to actively engage within the festival experience.

Rather than just attending a Puja, a Darshanarthi can take on the role of a special jury member, explore participating Pujas, experience them firsthand, offer ratings and reviews, join the Viewers’ Choice Awards, and gain access to relevant hyperlocal perks.

The Darshanarthi Live Viewers’ Choice Awards 2026 aims to bring a new perspective to Puja recognition, one that captures the experiences of those who actually visit the pandals.

The initiative now unites over 100 well-known Durga Puja celebrations in Kolkata, laying the groundwork for a citywide audience participation network.
