On Friday, October 23, 2026, at 6:30 PM at the Satyajit Ray Auditorium, Rabindranath Tagore Center, ICCR Kolkata, Art Hub, which has brought successful classical and Western productions to Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and other Indian cities, will make its debut in Kolkata with a classic curation called PULSE by Mukti Shri.

After touring Bangkok, Mumbai, Dublin, London, Cambridge, Indore, and Bengaluru, the production makes its way to Kolkata, where eight skilled musicians from Kathak, Tabla, Pakhawaj, Hindustani vocalists, Sitar, and Flute perform together on a single stage. The evening features a live classical performance together with eye-catching lighting, immersive sound, and stagecraft, all presented via a modern theatrical lens.

In a format intended to let the richness of Indian classical arts resonate across generations, the production maintains the discipline and authenticity of the classical tradition while presenting it with the vigor and visual intensity of a modern live event.

An outstanding group of musicians and dancers come together for this concert to produce a rich and engrossing classical experience.

They are Kathak exponents Mukti Shri, a renowned Kathak dancer and graded Doordarshan artist who has performed extensively across India, Europe, Australia, Asia, and the United States; and Anvi Shri, a young Kathak dancer.

The ensemble includes Aashay Kulkarni on Tabla; Suranjan Khandalkar, a Patiala Gharana vocalist and graded All India Radio artist; Ayan Sengupta, an ICCR-empanelled sitarist, All India Radio Grade ‘A’ musician, and Musician Tutor at the ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata; and Dhaval Joshi, an emerging flautist and Gold Medal winner at the Inter-University National Youth Festival 2023.

Together, these renowned performers craft an enthralling conversation between rhythm, melody, and movement that is amplified by theatrical lighting and sound to make the performance a full sensory experience. The event, which is organized by Art Hub and curated by Kalavati School of Dance and Performing Arts, honors the timeless beauty of Indian traditional arts through a vibrant and modern presentation.
