As one of the biggest leather trade organizations in India, the Indian Leather Products Association (ILPA), which is made up of more than 200 producers, exporters, and industry stakeholders, plays a crucial role. With its headquarters in Kolkata and regional offices in important leather clusters, it strives to advance growth and development through worldwide partnerships, training, and advocacy while also advancing innovation, sustainability, and international recognition for our handcrafted leather goods.

ILPA announced that the trademark event will be held soon. A prominent feature of the international B2B fair, AILPA 2.0, will be the ILPA Fashion Show-Leather on the Ramp 2026 at the Hotel Hyatt Regency on October 29.

By showcasing tech-integrated fashion trends, sustainable fashion, and the use of cutting-edge materials like textiles and rattan, Leather on the Ramp 2026 aims to further ILPA’s vision of making the show a global brand. It will also feature eco-leather that reflects the industry’s dedication to innovation and responsible production. In addition to showcasing artistry and ingenuity, it will present Indian leather goods as forward-thinking and globally competitive. In addition to showcasing the company’s CSR initiatives, which include eco-friendly leather projects, youth training, and community engagement programs, the next event is expected to be a great celebration of India’s craftsmanship and creativity.

On the ramp, five high-end exporters from Kolkata and one Design Studio—the center of India’s leather goods industry—will showcase their unique collections.

The AILPA 2.0 fair at Biswa Bangla Exhibition Centre from October 28 to 30 will feature live demonstrations, interactive workshops, and panel discussions with industry experts in addition to the fashion show. These events are anticipated to foster knowledge exchange and showcase the future of the leather and fashion industries.

In order to strengthen the workforce in the leather industry and upskill young people, ILPA has also introduced new programs for skill development and vocational training. It has partnered with both domestic and international organizations to advance information sharing, technology transfer, and capacity building.

ILPA

ILPA members are anticipated to contribute a large portion of premium leather goods, as the Indian leather export industry is estimated to surpass USD 8 billion in 2026–2027.
