The Affordable Art Exhibition 2026 was inaugurated by the Kolkata International Foundation for Arts, Literature, and Culture (KIFALC) at the KIFALC Centre, P-534, Raja Basanta Roy Road, Kolkata.

The exhibition, a first-of-its-kind project in Kolkata, seeks to assist artists by giving them a stage on which to display their skills, engage with art enthusiasts, and reach larger audiences. It also makes unique artworks available to everyone at rates under Rs 50,000.

The inauguration was graced by Tanushree Shankar, internationally acclaimed dancer; Smita Roy Chowdhury, Editor of t2; Imran Zaki, social entrepreneur; and Sohini Roy Chowdhury, internationally acclaimed dancer.

The exhibition allows art aficionados, collectors, and first-time purchasers to explore and acquire original artworks within an affordable budget, with all pieces priced under Rs 50,000.

Some of India’s most renowned artists, such as Jamini Roy, Jogen Chowdhury, K. G. Subramanyan, Nikhil Biswas, and Somnath Hore, are represented in the exhibition’s exclusive collection. It provides guests with a unique chance to find and purchase pieces of art by renowned artists while honoring their outstanding creative accomplishments.

Paintings, sculptures, pottery, textile art, folk and tribal art, handicrafts, mixed media, collages, and other artistic expressions are all included in this exhibition. The program aims to help the artistic community by providing chances for artists to exhibit their work, engage with potential purchasers, and reach a larger audience, in addition to making art more accessible.

KIFALC confirms its dedication to fostering artistic talent, assisting the creative community, and integrating art into daily life through the Affordable Art Exhibition 2026. The project honors the idea that art should be experienced, treasured, and incorporated into every home rather than only being viewed from a distance.
