The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata (IISER Kolkata) held a special 13th Convocation Ceremony at the R N Tagore Auditorium.

365 students, including 178 BS-MS, 2 BS with Research, 9 BS, 32 Master of Science Programs, 2 MS by Research Programs, 2 IPhD (MS), and 20 IPh. D, and 120 PhD degrees were awarded on this historic occasion, which represents the pinnacle of their demanding academic career at one of India’s top institutions devoted to research, science, and education.

The event was graced by Padma Shri Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Govt, Prof. Rajiv Prakash, Director, Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai, Prof. Arvind A Natu, Chairperson, Board of Governors, IISER Kolkata, and Prof. Sunil Kumar Khare, Director, IISER Kolkata, along with other esteemed IISER Kolkata members.

Promoting cutting-edge scientific research in the nation has been greatly aided by Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood. The graduating students and the entire IISER Kolkata community were inspired and motivated by his presence at the convocation.

Several dignitaries, members of the Senate and Board of Governors, and notable visitors also attended the convocation ceremony. For the graduates and their proud families who saw the degrees being awarded and the students’ efforts and accomplishments acknowledged, it was undoubtedly a day to remember.

As IISER Kolkata commemorates its thirteenth convocation, the organization is still committed to fostering scientific talent and making a contribution to the worldwide scientific community. All of the graduating students received congratulations and best wishes for the future from Prof. Sunil Kumar Khare, Director of IISER Kolkata.

For the graduates, this convocation signifies both the conclusion of one academic chapter and the start of a new one as they begin their professional careers and additional education.
