As part of the week-long Durga Puja celebrations, Aashirvaad Atta, India’s top packaged atta brand, planned special events that included an eye-catching Augmented Reality (AR)-enabled ‘Amaar Ma’ pandal within a pandal at Bagh Bazaar. By using lovely AR filters that brought moms’ Dashbhuja Avatars to life, the brand’s pandal honored and encouraged mothers to recognize and cherish their inner Ma Durga. A staggering 1.5 Lac+ people visited the pandal, which was dedicated to mothers, and took part in the celebrations.

Aashirvaad Atta’s enduring campaign, “Eta Amaar Ma,” which honors mothers’ “Onek Roop, Onek Energy,” was expanded upon this year for Durga Puja. The Amaar Ma Pandal in Aashirvaad lacked a conventional idol. As an alternative, AR filters were utilized to transform the moms who visited the pandal in real life into Ma Durga from the Aashirvaad pandal. On a life-size screen, mothers’ “Dashbhuja” avatars were projected, bringing to life all the multitasking that mothers perform every day. This pandal served as a memorial to all of the bold, resilient, and caring Ma Durgas—our mothers—who have shaped who we are.

Other entertaining activities in the pandal included Uludhwani, a high jump to “ring a bell,” and removing the Trishul from a magnetic platform. Thousands of ladies gathered on the day of Dashami to take part in Sindoor Khela and were seen dancing and celebrating to the sounds of Dhak. The pandal was decorated with well-known Patachitra artwork featuring many motherly personas.

On the first day of the festival, special guest Priyanka Sarkar inaugurated the pandal and took part in a number of events. Then, youngsters from the children’s NGO Dreams of Life Welfare Foundation performed a wonderfully choreographed Jago dance in honor of mothers from nursing homes. The company also held cultural events in the days that followed, including performances of the Dhaki dance and Dhunuchi dance, among others.
