With Aranyer Prachin Probad, Bengali cine lovers will get a new detective. Jeetu Kamal will be seen playing the role of the detective Aranya in the film.

The trailer launch of the film took place recently in the presence of debutant director Dulal Dey, Jeetu Kamal, Rafiath Rashid Mithila, and others.

The trailer shows Aranya take up a case of a murder in a village. A doctor is murdered and there is a mystery around his death. Aranya goes to the village to unveil the truth.

The director revealed that the adventures of detective Aranya will be published in the form of stories. The book cover of this first adventure of Aranya was also unveiled at the trailer launch event.

“This is the first film of the director and this is his first child. I am glad that his dream could be turned into a reality. Aranya is the latest detective in Bengali films. He is a bit different from the other detectives that people have been watching till now. He does not get involved intentionally. But when he does, he does his best to uncover the truth” said Jeetu Kamal.

This is the third film of Bangladeshi actress Rafiath Rashid Mithila in West Bengal. “I am slowly doing films in Bengal. This is not my main profession. I am an international development worker. I act due to my passion. This is the first film of the director and he has worked immensely hard to ensure that it turns out well and is appreciated by the audience” said the actress.

She also hoped that her chemistry with Jeetu Kamal would be liked and appreciated by the audience.

Suhotra Mukhopadhyay, Silajit Majumder, Loknath Dey, and Sayan Ghosh will be seen in important roles in the upcoming film.

The film will release on the 5th of July.
