In Joka, Kolkata, the 150-bed Bharat Sevashram Sangh Hospital was established in 2010 to provide affordable healthcare to underprivileged groups in society.

On November 27, a multispecialty hospital with 300 beds is scheduled to open.  The inauguration event will be attended by Swami Purnatmananda Maharaj, the President of Bharat Sevashram Sangh, and Swami Subiranandaji Maharaj, the Secretary of Belur Ramakrishna Math and Mission.

Modern OT, Complex and Critical Care Unit, ICCU, ITU, Neonatal Care Unit, and PICU, as well as Paediatric Department with Nephrology Department, Dialysis, and Physiotherapy Unit, are all located within this eight-storey hospital facility.

The Bharat Sevashram Sangh General Secretary, Swami Biswatmananda Maharaj, said that the newest medical services have been incorporated into the construction of this second-phase hospital.  Here, low-income persons will receive various forms of treatment at a reduced rate.

According to him, Swami Pranabanandaji Maharaj, the founder of Bharat Sevashram Sangh, constructed the Ashram in Gaya to provide for the pilgrims.
