The book launch of Random Subterranean Mosaic: 2012- 2018 took place in the presence of author Sabarna Roy, Santasree Chaudhuri, Oindrila Dutt and others.

The book is a modern novel written not in the form of letters but insightful musings that are subjective yet making the readers to derive at their own interpretations.

The author gained fame from his earlier books like Pentacles, Frosted Glass, Abyss and Winter Poems. The book is a medley of fiction, semi-autobiographical and autobiographical pieces, poems, opinions and conversations.

The author had written about 450 pages and was under pressure from the publisher to write a book. So he went to Kurseong to decide what to do with the book. So he went there and found that 2/3 rd of the book was not up to the mark. The rest was good and he gave it to the publisher.

The author felt that the book will do well as it is very easy to read and one can jump from one genre to the other.

The writer plans to write a non-fiction in the coming two years.
