People inadvertently committing themselves to excessive noise levels on a regular basis is one of the main worries. The main cause of people’s rising stress and blood pressure levels is constant loud noise. People should be warned that electronic devices have a maximum sound level of 110 to 115 dB, which can render a person permanently deaf or cause hearing damage. Interesting instances of sound from daily activities are whispered voices, which can reach 30 dB, and silent breathing, which accounts for 10 dB. The first and most fundamental step in prevention is to reduce the noise level in such circumstances and create a relaxing, peaceful environment for both pleasure and work.

Developing and practicing some simple healthy habits is the greatest method to stop noise-induced hearing loss.

  1. The “Rule of 60” states that headphones shouldn’t be used for longer than 60 minutes a day or at a volume higher than 60% of the device. In this case, noise-canceling headphones are preferable.
  2. Steer clear of loud areas, bars, and concerts. Use foam earplugs, stay as far away from the source of the noise as you can, and minimize the amount of time you spend there if you can’t prevent it.
  3. Consult your ENT surgeon right once if you notice any early signs of ear damage.
  4. Adopt common practices for ear care, such as refraining from using earbuds or taking a shower in unclean water.
  5. Avoid adding to the issue by employing loudspeakers or sound boxes or honking.

By following such steps, noise pollution can be combated and diseases can be prevented.
