CRESCENDO 2026, Calcutta Boys’ School’s annual concert honoring creativity, music, and theater, concluded after two unforgettable evenings on August 6 and 7 at the school’s Main Campus. The program’s theme, The Enchanted Forest – A Journey Beyond the Ordinary into a World Where Magic Comes Alive, highlighted students’ creative abilities and imaginations through a rich fusion of performance, drama, and music.

People All Over the World and Rabindra Sangeet Momo Chitte Niti Nritye were among the captivating performances by the CBS Choir that followed the evening’s heartfelt rendition of The Prayer. The school’s first theatrical production, The Enchanted Woods, which imaginatively brought together well-known fairy-tale characters such as Peter Pan, Snow White, and Little Red Riding Hood, was the program’s high point. The show taught important lessons about bravery and empathy while showcasing the young performers’ self-assurance, inventiveness, and stagecraft.

Loreto College’s Teacher-in-Charge, Dr. Sr. A. Nirmala, commended the institution’s efforts to foster holistic development. “I appreciate your faith in the children’s dreams. The play effectively communicated the idea that while academics are important, empathy is a life skill that must be developed,” she said.

Later, the choir enthralled the crowd with energetic performances of Send It On and A Million Dreams. The School Song, the National Song, and the National Anthem marked the program’s conclusion.

“Every chapter in the mysteries of our lives left us wiser and more experienced, and that was exactly what our children portrayed through this play. I express my gratitude to the parents for their steadfast support of the institution and for motivating their kids in all of their pursuits,” said Principal and Secretary Raja McGee.

Calcutta Boys’ School’s dedication to promoting artistic excellence in addition to academic learning was reaffirmed by the successful conclusion of CRESCENDO 2026, which gave students a platform to express their creativity, gain confidence, and embrace values outside of the classroom.
