After the introduction of its CyberPeace cluster in Jharkhand, CyberPeace, a global non-profit organization focused on CyberPeace and Cybersecurity, unveiled its State level, Odisha CyberPeace Hub in its CyberPeace Dialogue – Odisha in Bhubaneswar. The British Deputy High Commission in Kolkata and CyberPeace organized the dialogue together with assistance from Autobot Infosec Pvt. Ltd.

A significant step has been taken to provide the internet users of Odisha with a secure online environment with the introduction of the CyberPeace Cluster. The goal of this multi-stakeholder program is to make Odisha an international hub for cybersecurity. It involves the corporate sector, government agencies, academia, civil society, business, and industry.

The CyberPeace Hub aspires to become the hub of cyber security initiatives, including a CyberPeace Centre of Excellence (CCoE) in cybersecurity and a cyber rehabilitation facility offering services for training, research, incubation, and development. In order to build a thriving cyber security ecosystem in the state, it will also act as a hub for start-up cybersecurity companies and other private sector organizations.

The launch was graced by Mr. Dominic Gillan, CSSF India Cyber Programme Manager, British High Commission, New Delhi, Mr. Manoj Kumar Mishra, Principal Secretary, Electronics and IT, Government of Odisha, Mr. Brahma Mishra, President, Utkal Chambers of Commerce, and Mr. Abhishek Singh, Lead – Policy and Advocacy, CyberPeace.

The inaugural ceremony of the Dialogue started with registration and networking followed by the Ganesh Vandana and Diya Lighting Ceremony.

The launch was followed by the CyberPeace Dialogue on the topic, “Building cyber security ecosystem in Odisha: Roadmap in the future”. It was moderated by Abhishek Singh, Lead – Policy & Advocacy, CyberPeace. The discussions focused on high-priority topics connected to cybercrimes and potential remedies, as well as an overview of the worldwide cyberspace scene.
