East India’s first luxury design event, Design Milestone, took place in the City of Joy, marking a significant milestone in the field of luxury design. To highlight the region’s unrealized potential, the event, which was organized and launched by Sweta & Ajay Arya and Seema & Deep Gupta, brought together more than 80 prestigious businesses and the most innovative minds in interior design, architecture, and architecture. Design Milestone was able to improve Kolkata’s reputation on the map of luxury design in India by fusing the traditional culture of Eastern India with modern innovation.

Alongside up-and-coming talent, the event showcased well-known brands including Sarita Handa, Scarlet Splendour, Jaipur Rugs, and Poliform. The Design Milestone Awards, which honored distinction in the design community, were part of a beautiful curtain-raiser. A lively bar night followed. With lively panel discussions, seminars, and sessions led by prominent figures in the field, the Design Milestone Conclave enhanced the occasion. Further promoting communication and creativity were strategic partnerships with groups such as the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Credai Bengal, and the Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID).

Design Milestone was more than just an exhibition; it created a community centered around cooperation, ingenuity, and the appreciation of design.

Design Milestone exceeded expectations by providing a comprehensive celebration of design brilliance through immersive experiences, art displays, and interactive workshops. As the first edition came to an end, it solidified Eastern India’s position as a thriving center on the international design scene and left a lasting impression on the country’s luxury design scene.
