Speaking at the occasion, the director said “The film is made by a director and has many women artists working in the film. However, the film has been canceled by a government hall for viewing to the audience. This is a huge shock for the team. Our film shows how women deal with the after-effects of rape and not the original incident. I don’t know why the film was canceled from showing. This news is quite surprising to get on International Women’s Day”.

Devlina Kumar does not believe much in International Women’s Day but she mentioned that this did not lighten the importance of the day. The actress felt that the day when women will be able to go around safely whether during the day or night is the day when we will have achieved something or that society had made some progress.

Sreela Majumder said “Every day should be a Women’s Day for all women. The work should be divided among the men and women in the household. A woman after working hard outside has to again do all the household chores after coming back. That should not be the case. Instead, the family members including the male ones should have some assigned jobs that they should do. Or else, celebrating a day as Women’s Day is just like a consolation prize for the women”.

Rayati Bhattacharya said that even on this day, we need to celebrate Women’s Day. That is really unfortunate. Women should not be the boss for one day rather they should get respect daily.

The film is eyeing for release on 12th March.
