Pet-Calendar-2023-Launch

Chiranjeet Chakraborty, Paramita Munshi, Arijit Dutta, Debasish Kumar, Subhrajit Mitra, Debleena Dutt, Piyali Munsi, Kanchanaa Moitra, Sujoy Biswas, Shomu Mitra, and other eminent personalities were present at the launch of the Pet Calendar 2023.

The pet calendar was created by Paramita and his husband Sudip Bhattacharya, a well-known art director in the film industry, as a loving remembrance of their beloved pet Newton Bhattacharya, who passed away last year. A pet calendar of this kind is a first for India.

Arijit Dutta said “This is a unique initiative. Different steps have been taken to take care of street dogs but this is a unique endeavor. I will like to point out one thing. Do not keep a dog if you cannot take care of it till the end. If you abandon it mid-way, it creates confusion for them”.

Every page of this calendar from January 2023 to December 2023 features pictures of well-known celebrities and their pets. The fundamental connection between people and animals that have existed since the start of civilization is physically manifested in this calendar of 2023.

Chiranjeet Chakraborty highlighted that men are selfish and they want everything from Nature for their own good. He said that human beings must behave in a proper manner with pets and also the other animals.

Stalwarts of the Bengali Film Industry like Chiranjeet Chakraborty, Anjan Dutta, Pallabi Chatterjee, Ananya Chatterjee, Piyali Munsi, Koneenica Bandopadhyay, Debolina Dutta, Rupanjana Mitra, Ena Saha, Sreelekha Mitra, Arijit Dutta, Suprobhat Sarkar, Tathagata Mukherjee, Joy Goswami, and Director Shubhrajit Mitra are supporters of this unique initiative.

Debleena Dutt was also part of the first edition of the Pet Calendar. The actress said, “Many people want to take such initiatives for their pets but they do not know how to do that. Events of this caliber will serve as an inspiration for them”.

The money gathered from the Pet Calendar will be spent on feeding and sterilizing 300 street dogs.
