Techno India Group unveiled a Durga idol made of fabric and crafted by students of Techno India Group Public Schools, Techno India Colleges, and Techno India University. The idol has been installed at the Techno India Main Campus in Salt Lake, Kolkata.

The event was graced by renowned film director, Arindam Sil, Former Commissioner of Kolkata Police, Goutam Mohan Chakraborty, elocutionist Indrani Bhattacharya, and Prof Manoshi Roy Chowdhury, Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group.

This year’s Goddess Durga idol was created by 16 students from the Group’s schools, colleges, and universities along with 3 art teachers. The entire procedure was finished in about a month.

The gorgeous Maa Durga idol they created this year using a variety of textiles has set the bar even higher. It is not only a wonderful work of art but also fully environmentally friendly.

The unveiling program started with a performance by KOTR (Kids On The Rock) Ariadaha Band followed by a felicitation of the dignitaries and a welcome address by Prof Manoshi Roy Chowdhury.

Women dhaakis added to the Pujo feeling and it ended with a spectacular Dhunuchi dance.

The last year’s Durga idol made with waste material by Techno India students is now being displayed at Sovabazar Sarbajanin Durgotsav 2023.

A great initiative indeed!!
