Ecohub’s Italian Food Festival To Showcase Great Italian Cuisine
With origins dating back to the fourth century BC, Italian food has evolved throughout centuries of social and political upheaval. Ancient Greek, Roman, and Etruscan cuisines are the roots of Italian cuisine. The New World’s discovery brought about significant changes, including the introduction of bell peppers, potatoes, tomatoes, and maize—all of which are today staples of the diet but were not brought in large quantities until the 18th century.
